Redan High School has had it’s share of outstanding basketball players but I can’t remember one who was as dominant as the Raiders 6-9 senior Kenny Hall, oh my bad there was one “Q”; anybody that has been around Redan hoops know who I’m talking about.

Over that last couple of years Hall has as transformed himself into one of the better players in the country, just ask the Univ. of Tennessse Head Coach Bruce Pearl who Hall will be playing for next season. I met with Hall a.k.a Consaga Ali after one of his games for a little Un-KUT version of Street Talk.

L.A.: Tell the “Other” players your full name, that way when they get schooled they will remember who schooled them?
Kenny: Kenny Hall                            

L.A.: Just in case they can’t remember you full name, do you have a nickname we can throw at them?
Kenny: Consaga Ali

L.A.: What school do you attend and what is your school classification (freshman, sophomore etc.)?
Kenny: Redan High School and I’m a senior.
 
.A.: Are you originally from Atlanta, GA, if not where are you from?
Kenny: No I’m from Los Angeles, CA (Pacoima)

L.A.:  Who have been some of the most influential people in your life?
Kenny: Momz, Popz, & G-Ma

L.A.:  What has been one of the most memorable moments in your athletic career so far?
Kenny: 1st time I dunked on some1 in a game

L.A.:  What moment(s) would you most like to forget?
Kenny: 1st time I got dunked on

L.A.: This is your last shot at winning a state title with Redan; are you and your teammates ready for the challenge?
Kenny: Yes. We go hard everyday to get better for that moment

L.A.:  Who has been one of the toughest players you ever had to play against and who is the best high school player you personally have ever seen?
Kenny: The toughest player was Andrew Bynum. The best ever was LaBron James

L.A.: Tell me something about yourself that people wouldn’t know by just looking at you?
Kenny: I use big words

L.A.: You have already signed with the University of Tennessee, how anxious are you to get there and what most are you looking forward to. When I went to college I couldn’t wait to be on my own (lol), just keeping it real? 
Kenny: I’m lookin forward to being on my on too….and just ready to go to work up there…Im very anxious

L.A.: As an athlete is it easier to get a date or harder?
Kenny: Too easy

L.A.: Who is your favorite teacher in school?
Kenny: Shout out to Mrs. Joy

L.A.: What subjects do you like most and which subjects do you like least?
Kenny: My fav is P.E. ….I hate math

L.A.: When did you know that you had arrived as one of the top players in the country?
Kenny: When my mom told me I was ranked

L.A.: If you could change anything in the world today what would it be?
Kenny: Crack in our hoods

L.A.: Ok keep it real now, do you use the fact that you are an athlete to sometimes get your way?
Kenny:  It depends on the situation
L.A.” I’ll take that as a yes (lol)

Fire or Ice
Your parents buy you a car and it’s a Volkswagen?  Ice      
Your girlfriend dumps you for her ex? Fire
Your cell phone service is Verizon and you can’t hear anybody when you try to call?  Fire
You get the employee of the month and only thing they give you is a nameplate? Ice

You square off against Dwight Howard and he goes for 30pts & 25rebs holds you to just 6pts and your team wins the game? Fire

L.A.: How did summer ball (AAU) help you advance your game?
Kenny: By playing against other top players in the nation

L.A.: What do you want to do after your basketball career is over?
Kenny: Go to places I’ve never been

L.A.: What type of music do you like and do you have a favorite artist or group?
Kenny: Hip Hop and R&B…don’t really have a favorite

L.A.: What is your favorite TV Show and Movie?
Kenny: Martin and all the Friday’s

L.A.:  If you could meet anyone in the world (past or present) who would it be and why?
Kenny: Malcom X…he has a lot of knowledge and he’s a REAL….dude
