Girls Region 7-AAAA at Rome

North Paulding vs. Rome
The undefeated top seeded Lady Wolves from Rome countinued their path of destruction as they roared to an opening round 74-28 win over North Paulding in the Region 7-AAAA tournament being held in Rome. 4SHOT Hoops All-Star Mauri Wells finished with a game high 20 points, Desriee Scott add15 and Summer Starr chipped in with 12. Rome will host South Paulding in the quarterfinals on Thursday. The Lady Wolves are now 25-0.

In other regional playoff action in Rome Sequoyah knocked off Woodland by the score of 54-43 and Osborne pounded Paulding county 57-21. South Paulding also advanced to to the quarter-finals with a 54-34 win over Sprayberry

Girls Region 4-AAAA at Mt. Zion

Alvoy vs. Griffin
The Lady Tigers from Alcovy beat Griffin the the score of 44-31 to earn a trip to the state playoffs and a regionls semifinal game against forest Park on Thursday at Mt. Zion-Jonesboro High School. Ashley Williams led the way with 15 points.
